JOB DESCRIPTION:

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teaches courses in mathematics utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning activities.
• Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.
• Demonstrates mathematical concepts using technology, and other standard and/or teacher prepared instructional aids.
• Provides opportunities for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
• Designs and facilitates learning activities that relate mathematics to the physical world.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment.
• Evaluates each student’s progress in mathematical knowledge and skills.
• Maintains professional competence through professional development.
