PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide core program for special education students consistent with state statutes and federal law.
• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers who have special education students in classes; interpreting the abilities and disabilities of these students to the staff, and assisting the students with regular class assignments.
• Confer frequently with parents and professional staff regarding the educational, social, and personal goals of special education students.
• Assist in screening, evaluating, and recommending placements of students in the special education program.
• Completes all steps of the IEP process.
