JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The Project Coordinator provides general project management and leadership of activities related to Missouri Project AWARE and school based mental health services, but not limited to overseeing referral management, coordinating professional development and training for school personnel, assisting with program evaluation activities, making recommendations for improving the district’s infrastructure, and serving as DESE’s liaison for communication, planning, and reporting.

Knowledge and experience with working with multiple stakeholders with the goal of implementing the goals of the Missouri Project Aware Grant.

Director of Health Services

 

Job Goal

To assist the Director of Health Services in developing, overseeing, and implementing the performance responsibilities stated in the Project Aware Grant listed below.  

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Increase school-based mental health infrastructures within KPS schools. 

• Increase the capacity of school staff to employ evidence-based tools and systems of support to detect and respond to mental health issues.
• Increase early identification of mental health needs.

• Increase timely access to culturally competent and developmentally appropriate interventions. 

  
  

• Increase student/family access to treatment, wraparound resources, and services for students with behavioral health issues. 

• Improve social-emotional environment for learning at schools.
